China’s Xinhua Press Agency Unveiled AI Anchor

CHINA: China’s state-run press agency has unveiled its Anchor on Wednesday. The AI News Anchors unveiling took place at the fifth world Internet Conference. The conference took place in Wuzhen, east China’s Zhejiang Province.

The AI anchors, one speaks Chinese and the other English. Both are world’s first AI anchors. They are based on Artificial Intelligence Technology.

The AI anchors are capable to work 24 hours a day. They are developed jointly by Chinese Search Engine Sogou and Xinhua.

The AI anchors have the resemblance of human and can also make news delivery like real news anchors.

AI Anchor Reporting in English Language

According to Xinhua  their machine learning program can extract and synthesize the voice, lip movements and facial expressions of real anchors. The AI anchors can work tirelessly and report accurately all day long as soon as the editors input the news.

Xinhua reported these anchors have already joined the news reporting team. It has worked 24 hours a day reporting Xinhua their news. It has broadcasted on agency’s social media platforms; news app, official WeChat, Weibo accounts, and their TV webpage.
