Former President Donald Trump was arrested in a lower Manhattan courthouse on Tuesday and is set to be arraigned on charges stemming from the investigation into falsified business records over the course of arranging a hush-money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels.
According to the details, Donald Trump will be charged with 34 felony counts when he appears before the judge inside the Manhattan Criminal Courthouse, but he will not be put into handcuffs or subject to a mug shot.
Former President Donald Trump arrived at the Manhattan Criminal Courthouse, where he was put under arrest and in police custody while awaiting his arraignment.
A lot of protestors and counter-protestors gathered outside the courthouse, but they were outnumbered by the media personnel.
It is pertinent to mention that it is the first time that a former US President has faced criminal charges and the prospect of jail time. Trump is expected to plead not guilty himself at an arraignment later on Tuesday before flying back to Florida where he will deliver an address from Mar-o-Lago.
