ISIS Claims the responsibility of Easter Sunday massacre in Sri Lanka

COLOMBO: Islamic State also known as (ISIS) claims the responsibility behind the Easter Sunday massacre that killed nearly 376 people in Sri Lanka.

According to the sources, one of the suicide bombers behind this deadly attack studied in the United Kingdom and Australia – Sri Lankan Prime Minister told media.

Mr. Ranil Wickremesinghe also said that the suspects were “all were well educated and come from the upper middle class and so they are financially independent.”

A CCTV Footage surfaced identifies as a Suicide bomber walks into the St. Sebastian Church. The video was shared by the Sri Lankan officials on Tuesday.

The Sri Lankan Government has declared Curfew.

Islamic State on Tuesday has claimed the responsibility for the attacks.

Meanwhile, another bomb exploded near Savoy Cinema in the capital city Colombo on Wednesday afternoon.

Blast carried out by a controlled explosion while investigating a Suspicious motorbike parked outside the cinema.

On Monday, a van parked near St. Anthony’s Shrine exploded as police attempted to defuse three bombs discovered inside. No injuries were reported.
