List of First Xiaomi Phones to Get HyperOS Update

Xiaomi is undergoing a significant transformation within its ecosystem, as it recently surprised many by opting to replace its long-standing Android-based interface, MIUI, with a new system called HyperOS.

The company is actively working to make this update widely accessible, promising better animations, reduced RAM consumption, and improved energy efficiency. Some recent leaks have shed light on the initial 11 smartphones set to undergo this transition.

Here are the details…

Leaked Xiaomi HyperOS Global Update List Unveils First 11 Smartphones Given the practice of many Chinese manufacturers producing separate phone models for the Chinese and global markets, variations in updates often occur. HyperOS, for instance, has already been deployed for certain models in China but awaits release for global market devices. Xiaomi plans to bridge this gap in the first quarter of 2024. The initial list of global devices slated to receive the HyperOS update includes:

  • Xiaomi 13T
  • Xiaomi 13T Pro
  • Xiaomi 12T
  • Xiaomi 11T
  • Xiaomi 13
  • Xiaomi 13 Pro
  • Xiaomi 13 Ultra
  • POCO F5
  • POCO F5 Pro
  • Redmi Note 12 4G/4G NFC
  • Redmi Note 12S

While this isn’t the first list to surface for HyperOS updates, a recent leak presented a different set of models. Although there are similarities between the two lists, distinctions exist, such as the inclusion of devices like POCO F5 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 6. Determining the accuracy of either list proves challenging at present. For users whose phones are not on either list, there’s no cause for concern. Xiaomi has a consistent track record with Android updates, and the lightweight nature of HyperOS simplifies the process. Our role now is to patiently await the work of Xiaomi’s engineers.
