Flash Flood Causes Road Closure in Diamer District for Three Days

The Government of Gilgit-Baltistan has announced the closure of a critical road in the Diamer district due to severe flash floods in the Lal Pari area. The floods have triggered mudflows, landslides, and debris accumulation, leading to multiple road blockages.

According to an official notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Diamer, heavy machinery is required for the clearance of the blocked road. To facilitate this, the road will remain closed from 6 AM to 11 AM daily, for the next three days (from September 8 to September 10, 2024), to allow the safe and efficient clearing of debris and restoration of two-way traffic.

Travelers and passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience. The local authorities, including the Superintendent of Police Diamer and the Officer Commanding KKTF, have been directed to ensure strict compliance with the closure schedule.

This measure is essential for the safety of the public and to ensure smooth travel once the roads are fully cleared and reopened.

Farhan Abro

Hello! My name is Farhan Abro, and I'm based here in Islamabad. My journey in Pakistan's digital media really kicked off when I founded INCPak back in 2012. We built it from the ground up, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, to be a trusted voice for independent journalism. But while media is a big part of who I am, I'm also shaped by a fascinating mix of other passions. I'm deeply into automotive, which gives me a technical edge, but I also find my artistic expression through landscape photography and music. And I'm always diving into the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence. Bringing all these different worlds together the technical, the creative, the journalistic, and the entrepreneurial—it really colors how I see things and approach every project. It gives me a distinct perspective that I try to bring to everything I share
