KARACHI: Several vehicles torched and 6 people dead in various areas in the city fresh violence started, after yesterday’s violence, half of the city has been closed, including Saddar area where in the morning bus was burn’t in the morning hours, mid day reports Karachi shows the image of abundant city while most of the people are at their work at this moment, it would be difficult for them to reach back home since the law and order situation seems out of control.

On the call of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ), the city is observing strike against life attempt on Maulana Aurangzeb Farooqui Wednesday while tension has gripped many areas, Geo News reported.
ASWJ leader Maulana Farooqui was injured when armed men opened fire on his vehicle near Moti Mehal area in Gulshan-e-Iqbal town on Tuesday, killing six people including four policemen, his personal guard and a driver.
ASWJ central leader Allama Muhammad Ludhianvi called on party workers to remain peaceful and cooperate with local authorities in establishing peace.
The religious party said a day of mourning will be observed across Sindh while a ‘peaceful’ strike in Karachi today.
Different areas of the city remained tense after the strike call given by the party. Angry protesters in Shershah, Patel Para, Banaras, Lasbela and Guuru mandir pelted stones on the cars and blocked the roads for traffic by burning tyres.
As the Transport Ittehad has also announced to keep public transport off the roads, office workers and other daily wage workers are facing immense difficulties in reaching their destinations.
On the other hand, the University of Karachi has cancelled BA, BSc and BEd examinations that were scheduled for today. The examinations have been delayed for indefinite period while the revised dates will be announced later , the KU spokesman told.
