PM Nawaz leaves for Turkey

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif left for Turkey on a day long visit this morning to discuss the emerging situation in the Middle East with the Turkish leadership

He would hold talks with his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu and President Recept Tayyip Erdogan on the new developments in Yemen.

In his departure statement, the Prime Minister said Pakistan believes in a peaceful solution to the Yemen conflict in a bid to promote unity and integrity among the Muslim Ummah.

Nawaz Sharif expressed the hope that serious diplomatic efforts can help restore peace, security and harmony in the Middle East.

Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs and National Security, Sartaj Aziz, Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatimi and Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry are accompanying the Prime Minister.
