PakArmy continues rescue and relief operations in flood hit areas

Pakistan Army’s rescue and flood relief operation is continuing in the flood hit areas of the country.

Over 15000 flood affected people have been evacuated in Layyah and surrounding areas. Food packages have been distributed and  3250  patients treated in Army Medical camp so far.

In Sadiqabad and Rahimyar Khan over 52000 people and 101000 livestock have been evacuated to safer places.

Three hundred patients have been treated in Army Medical camp at Chachran Sharif and food packages have been distributed among flood effected people.

Pakistan Navy’s rescue and relief operation is also continuing in flood affected areas of the country.

A Spokesman of Pakistan Navy said one thousand nine hundred and sixty people have been evacuated to safer places by Pakistan Navy personnel under its operation “Madad”.

He said rescue and relief operation is continuing in Badin, Khairpur, Sukkur, Ghotki and Pannu Aqil.  He said teams of Pakistan Navy are also present in Larkana, Ranipur and Gambet.

The Spokesman said a tentage village has been set up in Khairpur for the flood affected people.  He added that six tons of more food items has been sent to Khairpur.
