Pak Suzuki has announced that it will discontinue the current model of Suzuki Swift next year according to a circular issued by the company to its business partners.
The 1.3 litre Swift will be discontinued by the company starting August 2021 according to the circular after the production of 2,432 more units of the vehicle.
According to the table given in the circular, PSMC plans on producing 668 more units of the DLX NAV variant and 1,755 AT NAV variants for a total of 2,423 units of the Suzuki Swift.
Further discussing the production and supply of the vehicle, Pak Suzuki told its business partners that the total production quantity mentioned in the table is final. However, the monthly quantity might differ due to demand.
Pak Suzuki requested business partners to make inventory of the stock at their end and keep into consideration the orders currently in “pipeline” and the stock held at PSMC before making any last order of imported materials.
This is to avoid any surplus stock after the discontinuation of the Suzuki Swift model YN3. Furthermore, PSMC advised suppliers to place last order for the procurement of local materials in a similar manner.
PSMC also confirms that “the unamortized tooling cost of all in supply parts of YN3 (RS413-Swift) has been paid” to suppliers and no such claims will be entertainmened.
Pak Suzuki also requests its business partners to make sure that the production of the remaining Suzuki Swift units is done in a smooth manner and to make sure there no surplus stock at the end of production.
Launched in 2004, the 1300cc Suzuki Swift will finally discontinue after successfully completing 17 years of production next year in 2021. Currently the vehicle is being sold at the following prices.

Currently there is no official news on whether the company is planning on introducing a newer model of the popular Suzuki Swift. All we can do is wait and see what the company will introduce to replace this vehicle.
