KARACHI: The Excise and Taxation Department Sindh has introduced a new feature through which the general public can easily check how many vehicles registered on their names via SMS service.
The procedure to check registered vehicles via SMS is only available for Sindh Province currently.
The same facility is available on Sindh Excise & Taxation Department’s official website.
How to check vehicle registered on your name?
- Send Text Message with your CNIC number without dashes (xxxxxxxxxxxxxx) to 8147.
- reply message will share the details of the vehicles registered on your name.
For the complete detail visit the website or download Vehicle Verification Online app by INCPak Tech and via SMS only the number of registered vehicles will be mentioned.
The Service is now available on the website and via SMS for the general public so that they can easily check the number of vehicles registered on their names.
Earlier, Sindh Excise and Taxation Department introduced new number plate design which showcases Sindhi Culture ‘Ajrak’
The new number plates will be available by November this year and the Excise Department has already approved the granting of the contract to mass produce the license plates.
However, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah directed the department to keep the price of the new number plates to a minimum so as not to burden the public in any way.
