Pakistani actors Ayesha Omar and Azfar Rehman are ready to share the screen in Fahim Burney’s upcoming drama serial Bisaat which will air on HUM TV. The duo will be playing the role of husband and wife.
Ayesha Omar and Azfar Rehman are longtime best friends and the duo was last seen together on screen in the 2015 drama serial Miss U Kabhi Kabhi. This will also be Ayesha Omar’s first drama serial since Miss U Kabhi Kabhi as the actress was focusing on film rather than working in drama serials.
Azfar Rehman spoke to Dawn Images about the upcoming drama serial. “Basically, the story is about a man who does not have a son and there’s a lot of family pressure on him to have a child,” he said. “He only blames the women for this, doesn’t blame himself. He keeps getting married to different women, and does this to the point that the love of his life also exits from his life.”
The actor also revealed that the upcoming drama will highlight an important message about adoption. “I can’t tell you how just yet but it’s definitely going to be a very different serial,” he said.
Azfar Rehman also divulged into details about his character in drama serial Bisaat saying that he isn’t an “out and out positive character.”
Meanwhile, Ayesha Omar will be playing the role of Sophie in Bisaat. She also spoke to Dawn Images about her character. “My role is of a half Turkish, half Pakistani girl,” she said. “The character is very positive. The kind of journey or circumstances my character goes through, there are different ways of facing them. You can react to them in a very negative way but she chooses to take on everything happening to her and reacts in a very sensible way. She is a very mature and stable character.”
“I really like the overall message this drama is conveying to the viewers,” she added.
The drama serial will also cast some prominent names in the industry, including Saba Hameed, Anmol Baloch, Zain Baig and Tuba Aamir Liaquat.
