The fan favorite Harrison Ford is all set to mark the return of his famous gumshoe adventurer’s character, as the actor was recently spotted behind the sets of highly anticipated Indiana Jones 5, donning his signature archeologist costume. Currently being filmed in UK, the movie is slated for a July 2022 release.
‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’, the fourth film in the widely cherished Indiana Jones series came out in 2008, and turned out to be the second highest grossing film of the then year. The fourth chapter had portrayed the fan-favorite archaeologist Dr. Jones hunting the legendary Crystal Skull of Akator, the similar artifact the Soviets were in search of.
But, ever since 2008, the Indiana Jones franchise had been on a long break, with no signs of the fifth and final installment. However, after almost 14 years of time lag, the long-waited Indiana Jones 5 is final coming to the big screens, as the Walt Disney Company and Lucasfilms pronounced the previous year.
Moreover, for the final chapter of Indiana Jones 5, a huge star-studded cast lineup has been taken on board, with the past master Harrison Ford, returning as the titular gumshoe Indy. Whereas, besides Harrison, the movie will feature Phoebe Waller Bridge as the female lead, together with Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook, and Shaunette Renée Wilson opting for titular characters.
Indiana Jones 5 is directed by James Mangold, while Steven Spielberg, Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall, and Rayne Roberts serve as the executive producers to the final sequel.

Harrison Ford is returning as Indy
The 78 years old legendary actor Harrison Ford is all equipped to return to the Indiana jones part 5, as the beloved fedora-wearing, whip-slinging archaeologist Dr. Indiana Jones. And, for the reason, the actor was lately spotted on the sets of his forthcoming venture.
In addition to this, Harrison Ford was dressed up in his signature hat and jacket, and hence, dismissing the rumors of de-aging the central character. Nevertheless, the movie might explore both past and present lives of Dr. Jones, which is for us to discover as the plot details are still under wraps.
Taking about Indiana Jones 5, Harrison Ford had previously mentioned the final chapter to be totally different than the earlier films.
He had said, “I don’t really want to give them what they want to see, I want to give them something they didn’t anticipate.”
“They are used to a degree of disappointment when you revisit. Certainly, the Marvel movies have made a spectacular example of a success that worked the other way around, they killed it!”
“We’re not going to make another Indiana Jones unless we are in a position to kill it. We want it to be the best. We’ve got some scheduling issues and a few script things to do but we are determined to get it right before we get it made” Ford added.
Indiana Jones 5 is scheduled for release on July 29, 2022.
