The official trailer for Pakistani superstar Mahira Khan’s debut production project, Barwaan Khiladi, has been released on Friday. The sports drama is produced by Mahira Khan’s Soul Fry Films along with Nina Kashif and it will premiere on OTT platform Tapmad TV on March 5.
Barwaan Khiladi features a star-studded cast, including Danyal Zafar, Sarmad Khoosat, Meer Yousuf, and Khaqan Shahnawaz in different roles, while popular YouTuber Shahveer Jafry will also make his acting debut in Mahira Khan’s production. Meanwhile, the cast also features some big female actors, including Mira Sethi, Kinza Hashmi and Saba Faisal.
Pakistani superstar Fawad Khan have also made a guest appearance in the series’ trailer.
Plot
The story of Barwaan Khiladi revolves around a small-town boy, Akbar, who loves cricket and has dreamt to play on a national level all his life. His passion leads to his selection in the country’s biggest cricket national league, Lahore Cricket League; upon his journey, he gets to experience it all – the fight against the unjust system, dirty politics, and bias in the industry.
Directed by Adnan Sarwar and written by Shahid Dogar, Barwaan Khiladi will release on OTT platform Tapmad TV on 5 March 2022 for streaming around the world.
