Prime Minister Shehbaz expressed condolences for the 44 individuals who lost their lives and the 46 injured during the recent rains across the country, promising support for those affected. Seven thousand ration bags will be provided to the Balochistan government for distribution among the needy, with efforts coordinated between the NDMA and local administration until all displaced individuals can return home.
During his visit, PM Shehbaz was briefed by the NDMA on ongoing rescue and relief operations and the extent of damage to Gwadar’s infrastructure. He emphasized the use of satellite imagery for early detection and warning of natural disasters and called for a comprehensive plan to assess damage to private property and rehabilitate those affected.
