The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan have surged to 154,335 while the country’s death toll has reached 2,968. There were 5,718 more cases reported on Tuesday (16 June 2020) along with a total of 134 more fatalities from across the country.
Sindh reported 33 more fatalities according to the coronavirus update by the Provincial Health and Population Welfare Department. This brings the provincial death toll to 886 while total cases in Sindh have reached 57,868.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department reported 24 more fatalities bringing the provincial death toll to 731 while total cases in the province have reached 19,107 according to their daily COVID-19 update.
PUNJAB reports 68 more fatalities in one day bringing the provincial death toll to 1,149 according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA). The total coronavirus cases in the province have reached 58,239.
Balochistan reported four new fatalities bringing the confirmed provincial death toll to 89 while the probable death toll has reached at 62. The number of cases in the province have reached 8,437 according to the Daily Situation Report issued by the Balochistan Health Department.
Islamabad reported five new fatalities according to the District Health Office Islamabad. The death toll of the capital city reaches at 83 while number of cases have reached 8,857. The following is the distribution of cases across the city.
Gilgit Baltistan reported no new fatalities according to the Daily Situation Reported issued by the GB Health Department. This keeps the regional death toll at 17. Furthermore, the total positive cases in the region have reached 1,164.
No new fatalities were reported from Azad Jammu and Kashmir keeping the death toll to 13 while number of coronavirus cases have reached 663 according to the Government of Pakistan’s COVID-19 Dashboard.
