Coronavirus cases in Pakistan surge to 25798, death toll reaches 605

The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan have surged to 25,798 after more than 1,700 cases were reported on Thursday along with 41 more fatalities bringing the country’s death toll to 605.

There were 14 more fatalities reported in Sindh by the Health and Population Welfare Department in the daily coronavirus report bringing the provincial death toll to 171.

The Health Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reported six more fatalities bringing the provincial death toll to 206 which is the highest in Pakistan.

Punjab reported 19 more fatalities according to the daily report by the Provincial Disaster and Management Authority (PDMA) bringing the provincial death toll to 194.

The daily situation report by the Health Department of Balochistan reported two more fatalities bringing provincial death toll to 24.

However, there were no new fatalities reported in Gilgit Baltistan with only a few cases reported while the recovery rate remains high.

Global Update

The total coronavirus cases globally have surged past 3.89 million while the death toll has topped 269,500 with United States still reporting huge daily numbers.

Here are the top 10 most affected countries with a their coronavirus figures:

United States continues to have the highest number of cases and fatalities while Russia is reporting more cases as the virus hits its peak in the country. The daily number have somewhat improved in countries like Spain, Italy or even the UK.
