LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) leader Firdous Ashiq Awan has been appointed as Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information according to a notification issued by the Government of Punjab.
Firdous Ashiq Awan previously served as the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information but has made a comeback as the Special Assistant to CM Buzdar on Information.
Fayyaz ul Hassan removed as Information Minister AGAIN
Furthermore, the notification said that Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan has been removed from his post as Punjab’s Information Minister but will continue to perform his duties as the minister for colonies.
Mehar Mohammad Aslam and Zawar Hussain Warraich have been relieved of the cooperatives and prisons portfolios too according to the notification.
It is pertinent to mention that Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan has been removed from his portfolio for the second time. The minister had to resign after anti-Hindu remarks which sparked a huge controversy before being reassigned to the position in 2019.
