FM Ishaq Dar presented 3.5 trillion budget to the National Assembly

ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly session on-going right now where the Federal Budget for the fiscal year 2013-14 will be presented. Federal Minister for Finance Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar will present the Budget 2013-14.

Federal cabinet  approved the federal budget and Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar presented 3.5 trillion  budget to the National Assembly. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar presented budget proposals before the House for approval.

 

Earlier‚ these budget proposals will be put for approval by the federal cabinet at its special meeting to be chaired by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

 

A number of proposals are expected to be presented to resolve energy crisis‚ reduce government expenditure‚ and fiscal deficit and steps to revive national economy and enhance revenue collection.

The challenges faced by the new government in the due federal budget include abolishing circular debt, reviving the economy, huge fiscal deficit and increasing the revenue.
