Justice for Hayat Baloch – young boy killed in Turbat

Twitter has been demanding Justice for Hayat Baloch (#JusticeForHayatBaloch), a young student who was killed by Frontier Corps (FC) in Turbat, Balochistan in front of his family.

According to reports, Muhammad Hayat Baloch was a student of Karachi University (KU) and he was visiting his hometown of Turbat when the incident occurred and he was shot by a FC personnel at least ten times while his family pleaded for mercy.

The Baloch student was shot by the FC soldier near Absar Balochi Bazar after two FC vehicles were targeted with an IED nearby according to Turbat police.

The FC soldier who shot Hayat Baloch has been handed over to the police after an internal investigation by FC South and a First Information Report (FIR) registered against him at the Turbat Police Station according to SSP Kech Najibullah Pendrani.

Minister Shireen Mazari Calls For Inquiry

Pakistan’s Federal Minister on Human Rights has called for an investigation into the killing of Hayat Baloch terming the incident as unacceptable as took Twitter saying:

In a press conference, SSP Pendrani has promised that “the killer of Hayat Baloch would be punished,” saying that the person responsible for the murder of an innocent citizen will not be given concession.

The family of Hayyat Baloch says they are satisfied with the police investigation and have complete trust in the judiciary to provide them justice.
