Pakistan Railways Announces to Restore Two More Trains

Pakistan Railways has announced the restoration of services for two more trains, including Fareed Express (37-UP/38-DN) and Pakistan Express (45-UP/46-DN), with effect from December 22 and 23, respectively.

Fareed Express runs between Karachi and Lahore and Karachi, while Pakistan Express runs between Karachi and Rawalpindi and Karachi.

Furthermore, Pakistan Railways has added ‘AC Standard’ and ‘AC Parlor’ coaches to Pakistan Express, while the Fareed Express would have one air-conditioned coach and two economy class coaches in order to increase the number of bogies to 18 for the train.

The ministry has directed to begin the advance reservation for the trains.

Moreover, Pakistan Railways is also installing CCTV cameras in passenger trains in order to make travel safer and more secure.

The development comes after several cases of sexual abuse and immoral activities being carried out on the passenger trains in recent years.
