The Lahore Police have registered a case against JUI-F leader and religious cleric Mufti Aziz ur Rehman after a leaked viral video surfaced on the internet showing the cleric sexually assaulting a student at his Lahore based seminary.
According to the details, the First Information Report (FIR) was lodged at the complaint of the student (victim) and it includes the sons of Mufti Aziz ur Rehman and two other unidentified persons for blackmailing and threatening to kill the student for exposing the religious cleric.
JUI leader Mufti Aziz has been under fire after a leaked viral video showed the religious cleric sexually assaulting one of his students at a Lahore based seminary where he was an administrator at the time.
In the leaked viral video, Mufti Aziz ur Rehman can be seen sitting down while his student is riding on top of him in the midst of a sexual act which has become the trending topic on social media since yesterday.
The student released a video statement after the incident went viral on social media and claimed that he is being threatened by sons of Mufti Aziz for exposing the cleric.
“It is better I commit suicide rather than living in fear of being killed.” said the victim in his video statement.
Mufti Aziz denies involvement, says he was drugged
Meanwhile, the religious cleric and JUI leader also addressed the matter denying his involvement while claiming that the video being circulated is fake and an attempt to malign his reputation. “This video is fake as you can’t even see me moving.” he said claiming that he was probably drugged by his “accuser” who has not been seen in two weeks.
Furthermore, Mufti Aziz ur Rehman has been suspended from the party and also asked to leave the seminary after being involved in such a heinous act.
