Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has decided to hold a nationwide protest against inflated electricity bills, which have put a massive burden on the masses.
According to the details, PPP’s Secretary General, Nayyer Bukhari, expressed that widespread issue of inflated electricity bills has caused distress among every citizen. In response, the PPP has decided to hold nationwide protests.
He urged PPP workers to participate in the protests against heavy electricity bills.
PPP has decided to hold a rally in Lahore against the inflated electricity bills on August 30. According to the details, the rally will be held from Press Club to Mall Road on Wednesday.
The party will announce other protests across the country.
It is pertinent to mention that inflated electricity bills have already triggered several protests across the country with some even turning violent.
Furthermore, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has announced a nationwide shutter-down strike on September 2 against the electricity bills.
