The Government of Sindh has announced a public holiday on 5 February 2024 (Monday) on the occasion of Kashmir Day.
Sindh’s Chief Secretary has issued a notification in this regard, which states, “The Government of Sindh hereby declares 05th February, 2024 (Monday) as Public Holiday throughout the Province of Sindh on the occasion of “Kashmir Solidarity Day” except those engaged in essential services.”
The notification added, “To signify their political and moral support in the struggle for self-determination and to honour their martyrs, one minute silence shall be observed at 10:00 hrs on the same day.”

It is pertinent to mention that the Federal Government had already issued a notification announcing a nationwide public holiday for Kashmir Day. Furthermore, the State Bank of Pakistan has also issued a similar notification stating that it will remain closed on Monday.
