The School Education and Literacy Department (SELD) in Sindh has announced the school timings for Ramadan 2023.
According to the notification, all single-shift (Elementary, Secondary and Higher Education) public and private schools in Sindh will now commence at 7.30 am and close at 12.00 pm from Monday to Thursday and Saturday.
Meanwhile, these schools will commence at 7.30 am and close at 11.00 am on Friday during the month of Ramadan 2023.
Single-shift primary schools will start at 7.30 am and close at 11.30 am from Monday to Thursday, while school timing on Friday will be from 7.30 am to 10.30 am.
Furthermore, the primary schools operating double-shift will start morning classes at 7.30 am and close at 11.30 am from Monday to Thursday, while evening shift will be held from 11.45 am to 2.45 pm.
On Friday, the morning-shift for these primary schools will be from 7.30 am to 10.30 am, while evening shift timing will be from 10.45 am to 01.15 pm.
The Ramadan school timings for double-shift institutions (Secondary, Higher Secondary, and Elementary) in Sindh for morning classes will be from 7.30 am to 11.30 am from Monday to Thursday.
On Friday, these school timings will be from 7.30 am to 10.30 am for morning-shift, while evening-shift will be held from 10.45 am to 1.15 am.

The revised school timings announced in Sindh will provide great relief to students fasting during Ramadan and allow them to observe their religious duties.
It is pertinent to mention that Sindh has also announced a public holiday on 23 March 2023 on the occasion of Pakistan Day.
