KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has ordered to take action against the illegal Parking Mafia for charging Parking fees from Motorists in Karachi.
Justice Iqbal Kalhoro of Sindh High Court said that there are people who are collecting illegal parking fees from place to place and those who are collecting parking fees are sitting on hooligans. If someone does not have money. When they go with their families, these people harass them for 20 rupees, why no action is taken against them?
A petition against illegal Parking Mafia was heard in the Sindh High Court today in which DMC officials and others appeared before the court, The Honorable court express outrage over the illegal Parking Mafias charging motorists.
Charged Parking fee comes under DMC Karachi and Traffic Police has no control over it, Honorable Court sought notification regarding parking fees of various vehicles on which DMC officials could not give notification. The court expressed strong anger over DMC.
Later, the court adjourned the hearing till January 31, ordering the lawyers of the parties to be ready for the next hearing.
Citizens of Karachi specially Motorists are sick and tired of the behavior of the Parking Mafia charging them above mentioned fee and harassing them if they don’t have the money to pay.
