The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a heat wave throughout the country this week due to a persistent high pressure in the upper atmosphere that will cause unusually high day temperatures.
PMD Issues Heat Wave Alert
According to the heat wave alert issued by PMD, the day temperatures in Northern Balochistan, Upper Sindh, South Punjab, Kashmir, and adjoining areas will remain 9-10°C above normal, while day temperatures in Islamabad, Upper and Central Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Lower Sindh, and South Balochistan will likely remain 7-8°C above normal.
The dry period and heat wave conditions in the country may cause water stress to the standing crops, vegetable and orchards. Therefore, the report advised farmers to manage crop water accordingly. Meanwhile, the heat wave alert said that early harvesting of wheat may start in Sindh and South Punjab and unusually high temperatures may cause pollen concentration to sure sharply in Islamabad and Lahore.
PMD advised the general public against unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight, adding that dust raising, gusty winds are also expected in North Balochistan, South Punjab, and Upper Sindh during the period.

محکمہ موسمیات کے مطابق ہوا کے زیادہ دباؤ کے باعث ملک کے بیشتر علاقوں میں رواں ہفتہ کے دوران دن کے درجہ حرارت میں غیر معمولی اضافے کا امکان ہے۔ جس کے باعث شمالی بلوچستان ، بالائی سندھ، جنوبی پنجاب، کشمیر اور ملحقہ علاقوں میں دن کا درجہ حرارت 09 سے10 ڈگری سینٹی گریڈ معمول سے زیادہ رہنے کا امکان۔
اسلام آباد، بالائی اوروسطی پنجاب، خیبرپختونخوا ، گلگت بلتستان، زیریں سندھ اور جنوبی بلوچستان میں دن کا درجہ حرارت 07 سے08 ڈگری سینٹی گریڈ معمول سے زیادہ رہنے کا امکان۔

خشک موسم اور گرمی کی لہر کی وجہ سے کھڑی فصلوں، سبزیوں اور باغات کو پانی کی کمی کا خدشہ۔
کسان موسمی حالات کے مطابق فصلوں کو پانی دینے کے انتظامات کریں۔
سندھ اور جنوبی پنجاب میں گندم کی قبل از وقت کٹائی کا آغاز۔
غیر معمولی درجہ حرارت کے باعث اسلام آباد اور لاہور میں پولن کی مقدار میں اضافہ متوقع۔
لوگ سورج کی روشنی سے بچاؤ کے لیے احتیاطی تدابیر اختیار کریں۔
شمالی بلوچستان، جنوبی پنجاب اور بالائی سندھ میں بعد دوپہر تیز/ گرد آلود ہوائیں چلنے کی بھی توقع ۔
