Samsung is gearing up to launch the sixth-generation Galaxy Z foldable phones, including the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Flip 6, which have already appeared in leaked renders. Now, a tipster has disclosed the core specifications of the upcoming clamshell offering, hinting at significant upgrades.
According to the tipster on X (formerly Twitter), known as @kro_roe, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will come in Snapdragon and Exynos processor variants, marking a departure from Samsung’s usual strategy. This move mirrors the flagship S lineup, offering flexibility depending on market regions with either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or Exynos 2400 processor.
Reports suggest that the Flip 6 will receive a notable boost in RAM, with options for 8GB or 12GB, varying by region. Storage configurations will include 256GB and 512GB options.
Additionally, the tipster has claimed that Samsung is upgrading the Flip 6 battery capacity to 4,000 mAh, a significant increase from its previous version. Furthermore, there are rumors that Samsung is working on enabling a 120Hz refresh rate for the external display, which is a major upgrade for the foldable phone.
However, it’s important to approach these rumors with caution, as they have yet to be confirmed by Samsung. The Galaxy Unpacked event, expected to take place in early July, will likely provide official details on the Z Flip 6 and other new releases.
