Three people were killed and another three wounded in a shooting at Don Carter Lanes bowling alley in Rockford, Illinois on Saturday according to the local police.
Police received calls about a shooting at the Don Carter Lanes bowling alley in Rockford, Illinois, around 6:55pm (local time) according to police chief Dan O’Shea during a news briefing late Saturday. The responding officers found three people dead and another three injured from gunfire, said the police chief.
“When officers arrived on scene, the shooter was still in the building,” O’Shea told media during the news briefing. The suspect, a 37-year-old white male, is in custody according to the Rockford Police Department and no others are being sought at this time.

The 37-year-old White male suspect, identified by authorities as Duke Webb, had attempted to conceal his identity and hide his weapons from police, said police chief O’Shea.
Police confirmed that the three victims in the Illinois shooting incident were aged 73, 65 and 69 but their identities have not been released.
Two of the three people wounded in the shooting at the bowling alley in Illinois were teenagers, including a 14-year-old boy who was shot in the face and is now in stable condition and a 16-year-old girl who was shot in the shoulder and has been treated and released from the hospital.
The third person was a 62-year-old make who received multiple gunshots and underwent surgery overnight. He is still said to be in critical condition.
“I’m angered and saddened by the violence tonight at Don Carter Lanes. My thoughts are with the families of those who lost loved ones. I’m also thinking of those who were injured and my hopes are with them for a quick and full recovery. I appreciate all of our first responders who quickly and heroically arrived to secure the scene.” Said Rockford Mayor Tom McNamara.
“Our investigators have much work ahead of them to determine exactly what happened and who was responsible. Please give the police the space they need to investigate this event and keep all in your prayers.” he added in the Facebook post.
