Residents in Abu Dhabi have already reported the onset of adverse weather conditions, including strong winds and heavy rains in some parts of the capital. Videos posted by Storm Centre depicted severe weather conditions in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi.
The weekend forecast predicts heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and hail across the country, which will last until noon on Sunday, March 10. This weather is expected to cause flooding in certain areas, with strong winds potentially reducing visibility on roads. The most severe weather conditions are forecasted from Friday midnight to Saturday midnight.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) warned of continued rain, thunderstorms, and hail on during the weekend, particularly in the east and north of the country. However, the intensity of clouds and rain is expected to diminish by Sunday evening, with no rain expected on Monday except for morning fog.
Authorities, including the police, rescue teams, paramedics, and civil defence, have assured the public of their readiness to respond to any emergencies arising from the adverse weather conditions, as stated by the Ministry of Interior.
