BANNU: At least two policemen were killed and 18 others injured in a suicide blast that occurred within the limits of Saddar police station in Bannu.

Police said the suicide bomber targeted police van, resulting two police official were killed and 18 other people sustained injuries. The van was also completely destroyed.

Relief and rescue teams have rushed to the spot of blast. Emergency has been declared in the district hospitals.

LEAs have cordoned off the area.

Heavy firing has also been reported in the area after the blast.
