ISLAMABAD: All educational institutions including schools, colleges and universities in Pakistan will be reopening on 15 September according to the Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood.
This decision was taken in a conference of all education ministers in Islamabad on Wednesday regarding the reopening of schools and all other educational institutes in Pakistan following months of closure since the coronavirus outbreak in the country.
All provinces unanimously agreed to the decision regarding reopening of educational institutions across the country from September 15 except Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Government of Khyber Pakhtukhwa (KP) recommended that schools should be reopened from September 1 which was rejected b all other provinces.
Spokesperson from the Sindh Education Ministry also said that no one is allowed to reopen schools bfore September 15 and legal action will be taken against violators.
Furthermore, schools will follow a strict set of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to make sure that lives of students and teachers are not put in danger.
