The enigmatic and exceptionally talented Imran Ashraf, together with the spellbinding Sarah Ali Khan won critical approbations for the portrayal of a religiously oriented Moosa in the recently concluded Raqs e Bismil. Also, the drama serial, on account of its romantic yet religious storyline emerged as one of the best serials of the year, and was highly cherished throughout its run.
Raqs e Bismil was centered on a guy named Moosa who hails from a religious and patriarchal background, who eventually falls for a girl named Zohra. However, as the time passes, he discovers the truth behind that veiled face and covered hands that Zohra is in fact a prostitute, whose life revolves around discos and parties. And following the bitter reality, Moosa leaves Zohra and gets engaged to another religious teen instead. On the other hand, Zohra too gets married to a businessman for money.
Though, with time, Zohra learns the reality of life and the purpose of worldly existence that Moosa had taught her. And, ultimately, she repents her past sins.
Additionally, the story progresses with loads of twists and heartbreak. Yet, at the end, Zohra and Moosa are finally united as they accept each other for the rest of their lives.
