Ehsaas Kafalat Program 2022 will increase the stipend provided to beneficiaries from Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 13,000 along with increasing the number of regular families eligible for the financial aid from 7 million to 10 million. These changes will be implemented to the next phase of the Ehsaas Kafalat Program 2022 from January 2022 to June 2022.
The announcement was made by Senator and Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Security Dr Sania Nishtar while addressing the Senate Session on 18 June 2021. Dr Sania Nishtar said that the current phase of the Ehsaas Kafalat Program 2021 will be completed by September 2021.
She added that the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program 2021 will provide Rs. 12000 financial aid to 1.2 million families and the current phase of the initiative, which was introduced to uplift poor segment of society due to effects of the coronavirus pandemic, will be completed by September 2021.
Senator Sania Nishtar said that special persons will be provided additional aid under the Ehsaas Kafalat Program 2022 while stipend payments will be made through digital means such as bank accounts. Furthermore, the SAPM said that Ehsaas One Window Center will be set up in all districts to provide all Ehsaas Program services under one roof for convenience of beneficiaries.
The Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship Program will be provide scholarships for the next two years to 60,000 students every year based on merit, said SAPM Dr Sania Nishtar.
The Ehsaas Tahafuz Program, which has been running on pilot basis will be fully deployed in collaboration Sehat Sahulat Program. Furthermore, those people who do not have Sehat Sahulat Cards or admitted to hospitals that do not fall under the program will be able to text Ehsaas Tahafuz Program.
Moreover, the Ehsaas Interest Free Loan Program is being expanded to 28 more districts after which it will be available in 138 districts across Pakistan.
