Fatima Nasir slammed for insensitive pictures on Hafeez Centre fire.

Hafeez Centre, one of the busiest and biggest computer and cellphone market in Pakistan, caught fire early Sunday resulting in damages worth millions if not billions of rupees as expensive electronics burnt to ash.

The fire erupted at the second floor of the plaza reportedly due to a short circuit and quickly spread making its way up to the third and fourth floor destroying everything inside.

In the midst of all the panic and chaos, there was an Instagram influencer named Fatima Nasir who sent the entire day outside Hafeez Centre taking pictures as went up in flames.

However, not everyone appreciated her insensitive pictures and she was bashed on her Instagram for uploading these pictures on Instagram that led to the influencer making her profile private.

These are some of the pictures so you have an idea of why she angered people:

After receiving the criticism, Fatima Nasir did release a statement apologizing for the insensitive pictures taken outside Hafeez Centre during the fire that was raging on inside the plaza.

Her apology read:

I would like to sincerely apologise to all who got hurt by my post. I do feel bad for the ones who suffered losses during the devastating fire at Hafeez Center. I do realize that my photos have hurt the feelings of many and come across as insensitivity on my part. Please know that I mean no harm or hurt anyone. It it was a documentary you were shooting showcasing the current situation in Pakistan I was there to capture photographs of the incident as it unfolded. I was asked to go inside the fire perimeter to document everything in action on film. I had no intentions to make fun of anyone or anything there. My recent posts were offensive as I smile although I didn’t mean to make it look that way as if I was happy about it. Smiling was a reflex on my part and I’m sorry about it. Im sorry for putting them up at the wrong time and triggering the rightful sentiments. I shouldn’t have done that. Will share the whole picture story soon.

Fatima Nasir also deleted all the pictures and ended up setting her Instagram account to private afterwards maybe to stop the constant criticism she was getting.

However, the anger from the public side is also understandable as the girl did take a public tragedy and made a joke from it without even imagining the losses being faced by those affected.
