The power restoration process in underway after a major outage that occurred due to a breakdown in the national grid system.
According to the details, the power restoration has been completed in majority of Islamabad and its surrounding areas, while electricity has also been restored in several areas of Lahore and most of South Punjab.
Power has also been restored is several areas of Balochistan and some parts of Sindh, including some areas of Karachi.
It is pertinent to mention that a breakdown in the national grid caused one of the worst power outage in the country, which lasted over 13 hours. Meanwhile, there are several districts across the country still without access to electricity.
Energy Minister, Khurram Dastagir, had initially stated that restoration is expected around 10:00 pm, however, the government failed to keep the promise with over half of Pakistan still under blackout.
