Wife of Dubai Ruler Sheikh Maktoum, Flees With 31Million

DUBAI: The wife of Dubai leader Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Princess Haya flees billionaire husband with 31 million pounds.

The wife of Dubai billionaire ruler is said to have fled and is in hiding in London after their marriage break-up.

According to reports Princess Haya Al Hussein was helped by a German diplomat.

She is also currently seeking political asylum in Germany. This has lead to diplomatic crisis between United Arab Emirates and Germany.

The German authorities have refused to return the wife of Sheikh Mohammed, and have also refused to make any comments.

According to news circulating in UAE, Princess Haya has left the country and seeking divorce.

Princess Haya Al Hussein, 45 hasn’t be seen in public since May 20 and her social media accounts have been inactive since February.

Princess Haya Al Hussein is the half-sister of King Abdullah II of Jordan and second wife of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Sheikh Mohammed, 69, is vice-president and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates, as well as the leader of the Emirate of Dubai. He is believed to be worth £9billion.

She is an Oxford University graduate. She is also known for her showjumping. She represented Jordan at the Sydney Olympics in 2000.

She married the Dubai Ruler Sheikh Maktoum in 2004.

Why She Left Sheikh Maktoum

It is not clear yet why she fled. But is has been revealed she has taken 31million pounds with her. She is seeking asylum and a divorce.

It is believed she has also taken her seven-year-old son Zayed and eleven-year-old daughter Al Jalila with her.

Last year one of the daughters of Sheikh Princess Latifa bint Mohammed Maktoum also attempted to run away.

Unfortunately, she was captured on a boat off the Indian coast.

Human rights groups have claimed she is being held in captivity. She tried to run away due to abuse.

Internet entrepreneur Kim Dotcom has wrote on twitter

There are unconfirmed rumors that @hrhprincesshaya has fled from Dubai to Germany with the help of a German diplomat.

If true Haya can finally speak about what happened to Princess Latifa.
