Pakistan Railways to run Three Steam Powered Trains

Pakistan Railways CWD class 2-8-2 no.5622

LAHORE: Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed announced in a press conference to promote tourism by running Three Steam powered trains on three different routes. 


(Cho Cho Train) Steam Locomotives 

Sheikh Rasheed said ” Pakistan Railways has planned to run Three Steam Engine Locomotives on Three routes”.

  1. Rawalpindi to Texila  via Golra Sharif Junction
  2. Peshawar to Kohat 
  3. Karachi to Kheenjar Jheel 

Pakistan Railways is ready to promote tourism and people will be able to experience vintage locomotives.
