Coronavirus cases in Pakistan – Update [2 June 2020]

The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan have surged to 80,155 while the country’s death toll has reached 1,683. There were 4,198 cases reported on Tuesday (2 June 2020) along with 66 more fatalities from across the country.

Sindh reported 23 new fatalities according to the Sindh Health and Population Department coronavirus update. This brings the provincial death toll to 526 along with 31,086 total cases.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department reported eight more fatalities in their daily COVID-19 update bringing the provincial death toll to 490 along with 10,897 total cases in the province.

412 new cases confirmed (4 from Torkham returnees) taking total to 10,897. 8 more lives were lost (3 Peshawar, 1 each in Mardan, Swat, Kohat, Abbottabad, Dir Lower) taking total to 482. 112 new patients recovered taking the tally to 3,085. 66,112 tests conducted in total. pic.twitter.com/h1MtKizmho

Islamabad reported two more fatalities bringing the capital death toll to 30 along with 304 new cases according to the District Health Department Islamabad and the COVID-19 Official Dashboard by Government of Pakistan at covid.gov.pk/stats/pakistan.

Gilgit Baltistan reported one more fatality bringing the regional number of deaths to 12 along with 779 total cases according to the Daily Situation Report by the GB Health Department.

Punjab reported 30 more fatalities according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) bringing the provincial death toll to 570 along with 29,489 total cases.

Balochistan reported two more fatalities bringing the confirmed provincial death toll to 49 while the probable death toll has risen to 40. The number of cases in the province are now 4,740.
