Coronavirus cases in Pakistan – Update [22 June 2020].

The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan have surged to 184,665 while the country’s death toll has reached 3,688‬. There were 3,859 more cases reported on Monday (22 June 2020) along with a total of 102 more fatalities from across the country.

Sindh reported 14 more fatalities according to the coronavirus update by the Provincial Health and Population Welfare Department. This brings the provincial death toll to 1,103 while total cases in Sindh have reached 71,092.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department reported 22 more fatalities bringing the provincial death toll to 843 while total cases in the province have reached 22,633 according to their daily COVID-19 update.

636 new cases recorded (4 from Int'l flights) taking total to 22,663. 22 more lives were lost (15 Peshawar, 2 Mardan, 2 D I Khan, 1 each in Swat, Abbottabad, Malakand) taking the total to 821. 333 new patients recovered taking the tally to 6,869 in KP. 128,105 total tests done. pic.twitter.com/bqzGQcrIAS

Punjab reported 60 more fatalities according to the coronavirus update by the Primary Healthcare Department. This brings the provincial death toll to 1,495 while the number of cases reach 68,308.

Balochistan reported two new fatalities bringing the confirmed provincial death toll to 104 while the probable death toll has remains at 71. The number of cases in the province have reached 9,587 according to the Daily Situation Report issued by the Balochistan Health Department.

Islamabad reported three new fatalities according to the District Health Office Islamabad. The death toll of the capital city reaches 101 while number of cases have reached 10,912. The following is the distribution of cases across Islamabad.

One new fatality was reported from Azad Jammu and Kashmir bringing the death toll to 20 while number of coronavirus cases have reached 845 according to the Government of Pakistan’s COVID-19 Dashboard.

NOTE: Gilgit Baltistan did not issue an update for 22 June 2020. We will update the post as soon as there are new figures released.
