In a tragic incident, a police officer, Adnan Afridi, has been martyred in a suicide attack that took place in the area of Jamrud in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday.
According to the details, the suicide bomber carried out the attack after he was stopped by police officers to enter the Ali Masjid of Jamrud in the Khyber area.
The attacked martyred Inspector Adnan Afridi, while several other people were injured. However, there is fear of more causalities from the blast.
Additionally, the building of the mosque was also damaged.
Immediately after the incident took place, the bomb disposal squad and rescue officials arrived at the scene cordoned off the rea.
The injured as well as the martyred police officer’s body were moved the nearest hospital.
